Your Secret Weapons to Give You a Fair Advantage Over Lazy and Sloppy Affiliates
The world is full of lazy affiliates and that is to your advantage.
Maybe it is not their fault. A lot of gurus have preached how affiliate marketing is push-button simple. You just copy and paste text from the sales page and bingo, you get a commission.
This is far from true.
You can see for yourself if you check YouTube for videos about a product you want to promote. Go through all the videos and see how many comments and views the lazy ones have.
Or create one product, one will do, and put it up for sale on JVZoo or WarriorPlus.
Open it up for affiliates and check the requests you will get.
Many affiliates will tell you that they have a huge list and thousands of followers and yet, they have no sales to show for it.
And they have not bought your product...
If you go the extra mile, you can easily get affiliate sales. Here are your secret weapons.
Sending More Emails
If the average lazy affiliate has an email list, he will send one email to promote the product.
Since he is lazy, the email will consist of the swipe copy the product creator has provided all his affiliates with. It will look no different than 100 other lazy affiliates' emails.
And it will get the same results - no sales.
You can easily do better.
Instead of sending one email about the product, send one email each day over a period of five days.
You will increase your chances of getting your email opened, and you can cover a lot more ground with five emails than with one.
When you send more than one email, you can deal with features and objections. One in each email. And that is how you secure the sale.
Creating a Valuable Bonus
Lazy affiliates will either not give away a bonus or find cheap PLR and call that a bonus.
You can easily beat them by considering how you can best help your subscribers. What would be super-valuable to them? What can you create that will make their lives better?
Some lazy affiliates have a whole collection of bonuses they use for every launch.
These bonuses will not be closely related to the product they promote. For an email marketing course, they may offer a YouTube course. And for the average email marketer, this will have no value.
The best bonuses will supplement the product you promote.
If you promote a weight loss program, you can create a guide with five-minute exercises that will help the user get in shape.
Or you can create a shopping list and meal planner that works with the weight loss program.
These bonuses will be valuable to your subscriber.
You will also need to put in the necessary effort to create the bonus. The better you can make it, the more sales you can get. Sometimes it will even include hiring people to create parts you do not know how to do yourself.
If, for example, you find that the perfect bonus for your promotion would be an application, then you can hire a programmer to make it for you.
Nobody else will offer the same bonus with such huge value.
Deep-Diving Into the Product
Now, here is a point where you can easily shine over the average affiliate.
Most affiliates will get their affiliate link, copy and paste text from the sales page or swipe copy and use that for their promotions.
They will not have their own opinion about the product.
They will not know exactly what is in it or what they would find good or bad about it. They only have what the prospect could actually see for themselves.
If the affiliate can find it on the sales page, then the prospect can find it there, too.
You, who are not a lazy affiliate, will take the time it takes to go through the product.
This means reading the eBook or watching the videos.
Ideally for a physical product it means testing it for yourself. Second best is going through a ton of reviews by other people to find the truth about the product.
Whether you test it yourself (best) or do thorough research, this takes time and effort.
Something no lazy affiliate will every talk themselves into doing.
This can mean a problem for you, though.
If you are a new affiliate and you learn about a product you think will work great for your audience, you should ideally get access to the product before its launch.
Even if you are new, you should go ahead and contact the product creator to hear if you can get a review copy.
Be honest when you request. Some will say yes, others no, and others will ignore you.
But what do you have to lose?
If it is not a product that is sold through a launch, you can go ahead and buy it. Or ask for a review copy. Once again, nothing lost by asking.
One thing is certain.
To use this secret and rarely used method, you need to dive deep into the product and find pros and cons and form your own opinion about it.
Will This Procedure Be Worth Your Time
I know...
Affiliate marketing is supposed to be so easy. Something you can do in ten minutes every day. That is what the myth says.
The reality is different.
If you want to make considerate income as an affiliate marketer, it takes time. Maybe even two to three hours per day. Would it really be worth it?
Let us say you promote the lazy way.
This is hit and miss. You grow your list with ads and pay $1 per new subscriber. You cover them with promotional emails that are identical to every other lazy affiliate marketer's emails.
How much money do you think this can make you?
Enough to cover your expenses? If you think so, you would be wrong. And that is why lazy affiliates do not last long in this business.
You, on the other hand, could spend three hours per day on one product.
It should offer a commission that is high enough to cover the value of your work. And by the end of the week, this product could have made you $1,000.
Would that be worth 15 hours of your time?
Imagine that you keep growing your list with happy subscribers. Your next promotion may then bring in $1,500 in a week. And the one after that $2,000.
Everything is possible for the non-lazy affiliate who uses these secret weapons.
